Pedorthic Consultation Process

Below is a step-by-step walkthrough of our Pedorthic Consultation Process. Click on the tabs to learn more about each step of the process.

Step 1: Virtual Prescreen - 15 Minutes
Step 2: Pedorthic Consultation - 30 to 40 Minutes
Step 3: Dispense Appointment - 30 Minutes (as necessary)

Virtual Prescreen

Fee: No Charge

Time: 15 minutes

A Canadian Certified Pedorthist will contact you via phone call to gather your relevant medical history and discuss the reason that brought you to us. Once the Pedorthist understands your needs, they will recommend a plan for how we can help you meet your goals. This may include one or more of the following products: custom foot orthotics, custom toe cradle, offloading wound care, ankle-foot orthotics or shoe modifications. At the end of the call, the Pedorthist will confirm your in-person appointment which will complete the rest of your assessment. Please book your in-person appointment online with the same Pedorthist once this booking is complete.

Please note: The virtual appointment can also be completed via video call upon request.

Pedorthic Consultation

Fee: $125

Time: 30-45 minutes

This appointment may only be booked if a virtual prescreen has already been completed or you have one upcoming.

During the in-person Pedorthic consultation, the Pedorthist will analyze your gait, measure your ranges of motion, complete functional movement tests and inspect your footwear and determine the source of your pain/discomfort. They will also discuss your lifestyle and movement goals. Depending on the results of your assessment, the Pedorthist will proceed to measure and design the product(s) recommended for you.

Depending on the product purchased, the consultation fee may be waived.

Warranty Follow Up Appointment

Fee: No Charge

Time: 30 minutes

A follow-up appointment for those who are within the fit comfort guarantee* of their product and need adjustments made.

During your appointment, the Pedorthist will review your product and make the necessary adjustments to resolve the problem.

Please note: It can take up to 2 weeks to get used to new orthotics or changes done to existing orthotics; during this time, some discomfort may occur as your body adjusts to the changes. If orthotics are not broken in appropriately discomfort is more likely to occur.

*Fit comfort guarantee is specific to each product.

Fit Comfort Guarantee: 3 Months

Refurbishment

Price Range: $75 + cost of refurbishment

This appointment is for custom foot orthotics that need to be refurbished. Your Pedorthist will work on your orthotics while you wait so that you can walk out with orthotics that feel like new!

Custom foot orthotics can also be dropped off for repairs at any time. Typical turnaround time is 7 business days.
